Children activities in Lot et Garonne
Particular tourist attractions for children in our part of Aquitaine include:
Parc Walibi, Agen
This is a very large amusement park near Agen. Slightly
outside my defined area, really, but such a big hit with children that I
thought I'd better include it anyway. The park offers roller coasters (including
one which loops the loop), water slides and rides, pirate boats and the usual
show. Parc Walibi is closed November - April,
and has different opening hours according to the date at other times - you can
check these at their website.

P'arc en Ciel, Lacapelle Biron
This is a treetop adventure, where
anyone brave enough can walk along ropes at the top of the trees (everyone is
fully harnessed for safety). There are different levels of challenge according
to your size and bravado. Absolutely everyone who goes loves it. There are also
some animals and amusements for those children who are too small to go into
the treetops. Since it costs about 20 euros each to get in, I recommend you go
towards the end of your holiday if you want to avoid having to go twice!

The P'arc en Ciel website is in French only, and is one of the least
attractive websites I've seen, but the photos will give you an idea of the
place.

Bergerac Aquapark , Bergerac
On the road from Bergerac to Bordeaux, on
the outskirts of Bergerac. Four swimming pools with water chutes and plenty of
other 'young people' things to do. Bike hire, Archery, and Mini-quad are all
available here.
Swimming / paddling
There are lots of swimming possibilities in the Dordogne. Limeuil is a good
spot. Supervised river swimming is available at Le Buisson de Cadouin (Pont de
Vicq).
Canoeing on the Dordogne River

Caves, Domme
There are very good caves at Domme, accessed in the town centre, with two of the four underground galleries having prehistoric engravings. The lift back up to the top afterwards provides a great view of the Dordogne Valley - see caves in lot et garonne
La Fermeraie du Jougla, Belvèze (near Montaigu de Quercy)
A farm in a wooded park with 200 animals including llamas, Vietnamese pigs, and lambs and kids that children can bottle feed.
Le Labyrinthe de l'ermite, Turnac, Domme
Find the hermite hiding in the labyrinth of maize. Bouncy castles also on
site to keep youngsters amused.
Castles, Bonaguil, Biron and Castelnaud

Quad Biking, Rêv' Quads , Badefols-sur-Dordogne between Sarlat and Bergerac.
Quad biking for over 16 year olds with a motorbike or driving licence.
Le Moulin du Cros , Montagnac sur Lede, near Monflanquin
This traditional mill built in 1644 and still making delicious bread, can
be visited in the summer for a demonstration. http://moulinducros.free.fr/
See also our north of the dordogne site because there are a lot more things for children to do within a fairly easy reach.
